clusters:minerva:software
This is an old revision of the document!
Software available
Minerva is running CentOS 7. Most software is provided as modules though, to be independent of OS upgrades.
- Intel Parallel Studio 2016 update 1 “intel”
- e.g. “module load intel/compiler/2016” or “module load intel/mpi/5.1.2”
- Intel Parallel Studio 2016 update 3 “intel2016.3”
- there's also an “intel2016.3/all” module covering all components
- … (to be extended)
Software requests
Requests for software can be fulfilled in two ways:
- RPM package installation (on the login nodes; in the compute node containers)
- Module creation
- you may provide a fully-built module, complete with its modulefile, for installation in
/cluster/apps/package/compiler/version
- modules can currently be built from tarballs providing configure, setup.py, or Makefile
Requests should be made public(ly) using the minerva-users mailinglist.
User-provided information about the currently used modules can be provided here.
